1. Finance

A finance bachelor's degree is typically considered the standard education for what is now the nation's fastest-growing business career: financial examiner. These professionals make sure that financial and securities institutions – such as banks, real estate companies and stock brokers – comply with the laws and regulations that govern them.

Getting started in this field requires a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) – Finance or equivalent degree.

Coursework commonly includes accounting, economics, mathematics, statistics and more. Your bachelor's finance degree should take about four years of full-time study to earn.

2. Medical Assisting

As one of the fastest growing groups of allied health professionals, medical assistants perform a variety of routine tasks in hospitals and physician's offices. The preferred credential for this field is an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Medical Assisting or equivalent degree, which takes about two years of full-time study to earn. Coursework typically involves basic anatomy and physiology, medical terminology and ethics, and office operations and patient relations. Medical assistants also usually learn first aid and CPR in case of an emergency.

3. Network Administration

Network administration is part of the information technology field and includes the second fastest growing career in the country: network systems and data communications analysts. The starting point of professional practice in this field is a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Networking or equivalent degree. Coursework usually includes database management, networking, system design, system security and more. Your network administration bachelor's degree should take about four years to complete.
