Tips To Help Morning Sickness That You Can Do At Home

As a sufferer of severe morning sickness during my pregnancies, I can say without a doubt that it is possible to effectively cure your morning sickness for good as I did during my 2nd pregnancy. I didn't want to go through the pain again like I did the first time, so I made sure to learn exactly how to solve this problem for good.

During my pregnancy, I spent a lot of my free-time trying to figure out what exactly was causing it to happen so badly to me. I remember being in bed for two weeks straight at one time! I hope you don't ever have to experience that. Let's dive into some things that I learned from my two pregnancies.

Regulate your Blood Sugar Levels

If you have severe morning sickness symptoms like I had, then it's probably best for you to start calling it afternoon and night sickness as well. But one of the reasons why it's so commonly known to occur in the morning is because of the low blood sugar levels that our bodies have in the morning. I could get technical and go into the scientific terms like glycogen levels and all that, but this isn't what you need to know right now.

All you need to know is that while you sleep during the night, your body loses the sugar in your system. The reason that this happens is because you don't eat while you sleep. During the day, you're eating and your blood sugar levels are higher (assuming you're consuming carbohydrates. If you're not, then this could be a big factor to your nausea).

I've read other sources online where they recommend eating high protein snacks before going to bed to lessen morning sickness. But what you also need are carbohydrates since your body breaks these down into sugars.

As you may know, sugars do help prevent nausea in the morning and throughout the day. Eating meals high in carbohydrates can help you keep yourself from feeling the symptoms of morning sickness.

I know for me that just by eating a good snack high in carbs and other nutrients did well for me. Have some yogurt and a bagel, or add in some fruit as well. A bowl of cereal can work as well if milk doesn't make you feel nauseous.
